Our University's Vocational Schools Coordination Continues to Meet with Sectors and Employers

Our University's Vocational Schools Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet UYUMAZ and Lecturer Mürsel ESKİCİ, who works at Bucak Emin Gülmez Technical Sciences Vocational School, visited the Western Mediterranean Industry and Business World Federation. At the meeting, which was attended by very valuable sector representatives, the need for qualified workforce, the expectations of the sector from qualified personnel, problems experienced in vocational schools, internship and job opportunities were discussed.

At the meeting held as a result of Lecturer Mürsel ESKİCİ's initiatives and interest, it was stated that it is essential to place the right students in the right workplaces at the right time in terms of ensuring cooperation between the sector and the university. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet UYUMAZ emphasized the importance of training our students together in line with the needs of the sector and the knowledge and experience of academics in vocational schools.

The chairman of the board of the Western Mediterranean Industry and Business World Federation, Mr. Abdullah ERDOĞAN, stated that they have projects to create an internship and employment infrastructure for our students with nearly 2000 businesses within their structure in this sense with our university and that they want to implement this. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet UYUMAZ expressed that they would be very pleased to cooperate with the sector and that they want to be together with the industry and sector in all kinds of activities to be carried out at this point, and the meeting concluded with good wishes.
